Auckland -> LAX

I'm currently sitting in the airport at LAX waiting for my connecting flight to NY. My plane was delayed from Sydney to LA because customs doesn't open until 7am here in LA apparently so they decided to delay the flight so we didn't have to wait on the tarmac but in turn left me with only 50 minutes to get off my plane, through customs an security, collect my luggage and recheck my luggage in and so due to long lines in security I missed my flight but luckily I found a super helpful lady from Delta airlines who rebooked my plane for free! :)

I've had a bit of sleep on the plane, I'm still pretty tired. I'm sitting at my gate waiting for my plane that doesn't leave for another two hours determined not to leave incase I get lost and miss another flight haha. I'm slowly making my way through my emails, texts, facebook posts, messages and comments, the snapchats and the Instagram tags trying to reply to everyone :) 

A few girls from Sydney who are on the au pair program with me have just landed so hopefully I will find them before our next flight. I met a lovely girl on the plane from home who went to Westlake, she was the same age as me as we were both meant to be on the same connecting flight but I lost her at security so I'm not sure whether she made the flight either. 

I'm looking forward to a proper bed to sleep in and the chance to sleep for more than 25 minutes without bein interrupted by turbulance haha. 

Thanks to everyone who came and said goodye on Saturday night, to the people who brought gifts I'm using (or eating) them!! Thanks to my cool as family for travelling and for spending the weekend. It was hilarious as always. And to my kick ass parents for everything, I love ya. 

And to Kylee for packing my bags and buying me a monkey. I love you.
