London pt. 5

On Tuesday I caught the bus to Shepherds Bush where I met up with Lauren who was also in london for the week after spending a few weeks in Denmark with her host family. We did a bit of shopping and then had lunch at Jamie's Italian... (there was definitely a theme...;) After lunch we caught the bus to Buckingham Palace to meet up with her lovely mumma.

From there we explored London a bit more. We walked down The Mall under the Admiralty Arch to the bottom of Trafalgar Square.

Then we walked across to the Horse Guards Parade where we made a guard laugh (life complete!) And down to Downing Street.

Then we walked back past Big Ben and across the River Thames on the Westminster Bridge (Catherine and I had walked across the Hungerford Bridge) where we got the creamiest ice cream ever.

Lauren and her Muma decided to do the London Eye so we said goodbye and I made my way home (without getting lost!!) from the Waterloo Station. I thought I knew how to do it after Catherine and I had done it a few days earlier but when I went to get on I saw the gates which keep people off the tracks and I had never encountered them before so I knew I was on a different line but I was so determined to do it without asking anyone and without looking at a map and I did it haha.

[Excited to find Catherine's street after spending the entire day in London without her guidance haha]

I spent the rest of the afternoon packing my stuff up and then Catherine and I went to a pub close to her house for dinner and cocktails before heading to bed for an early night!

On Wednesday morning we headed to the airport so I could come home. Oh how we cried haha. It was an emotional morning. London has definitely won my heart and I can't wait till this chicky babe comes and visits me at New Years! Whooo!

[sign that Catherine was holding when I arrived that I somehow missed in my first post...:/]
